Long Term Care Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

The position requires varied shifts including weekends and holidays. Candidates must be flexible with no guaranteed hours or shift preference.

Job Description

The Long Term Care Registered Nurse will perform a variety of nursing functions within a care facility, including but not limited to:

• Conducting assessments and treatments
• Administering medications
• Notifying the Medical Doctor/Nurse Practitioner regarding pertinent information
• Assisting with admissions and discharges
• Providing assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Caring for Gastrostomy Tubes and Urinary Catheters
• Performing Nebulized Treatments
• Managing Wound Vac care
• Administering CPAP and Tracheostomy Care
• Carrying out other assigned duties

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

All candidates must possess an active State of Hawaii nursing license by the start of the assignment. Candidates not currently licensed in Hawaii must apply for licensure upon acceptance of the job offer.

It is important for candidates to arrive the Thursday before the assignment start date for the necessary employee health appointment on Friday.
