Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)

Job Description

As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), you will perform direct and indirect resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. You will be responsible for meeting patients' activities of daily living (ADLs) and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to the needs of an adult and geriatric patient group.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with residents' ADLs, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting needs.
• Maintain residents' safety and comfort in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Ensure the nutritional needs of residents are met, including meal delivery and adaptive eating assistance.
• Assist with rehabilitative tasks as outlined in the plan of care, including range of motion exercises and transfers.
• Report any changes in residents' physical, emotional, or psychosocial status to the Charge Nurse promptly.
• Document care activities and observations according to protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess a New York State Nursing Assistant Certification and BLS certification (AHA or RQI).
• One (1) year of prior experience in long-term care or as a CNA is required.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.

Schedule

This position requires attendance for the full orientation on a Tuesday or Thursday.
