CT Technologist - Night Shift

Schedule

Friday to Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM EST. On call for 2-3 call shifts per month.

Job Description

The CT Technologist is responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The role includes preparing patients for scans, explaining procedures, and maintaining accurate patient records. Technologists will utilize appropriate patient handling techniques and coordinate with physicians for effective imaging results.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and perform exam verification prior to initiating scans.
• Prepare patients for scans, explain procedures, and help them feel comfortable.
• Insert IVs when necessary and position patients safely for scans.
• Document all necessary components within EPIC, ensuring proper transmission of images to the PACS system.
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility in compliance with department policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current registration in NYS with injection therapy certification at the time of submission.
• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• New York State licensure (must obtain prior to starting position).
• Two years of Level 1 Trauma Center experience.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred: Injection certification (must be willing to complete during orientation).
• Preferred: Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment.
