Night shift, 3 - 12 hour shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care for patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit, focusing on a comprehensive nursing process that includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. RNs are responsible for monitoring and interpreting telemetry readings, administering medications, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document medical histories.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to protocols.
• Monitor vital signs and telemetry, identifying changes in patient conditions promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in developing patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management and disease prevention.
• Maintain a safe and effective working environment in compliance with facility policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
• Active Ohio RN license or compact state license in hand upon submission.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Experience with charting systems relevant to the unit.
