OB Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Rotating shifts, primarily Nights 7p - 7a, with call responsibilities including 3x12 hour calls within a 4-week schedule, one of which will be a weekend call.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated OB Registered Nurse to join our Maternity Department. The OB RN will have primary responsibilities in Post-Partum, Nursery, and Labor & Delivery (L/D). The position may also require floating to Med/Surg departments as needed based on patient census.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and support during labor and delivery processes.
• Manage post-partum care and support for mothers and newborns.
• Adhere to hospital protocols and procedures in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist with emergency c-sections as needed, including scrubbing/circulating duties.
• Meet call requirements and respond within 60 minutes of notification.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS and NRP certifications.
• Completion of Dysthymia course.
• AWHONN basic and intermediate fetal monitoring course.
• Prior experience in a maternity setting is preferred.
