Clinical Staff Educator - Day Shift

Job Description

The Clinical Staff Educator reports to the Clinical Education Department Manager and is responsible for providing education and instruction for clinical staff. This role acts as a resource for all staff regarding healthcare education and training programs, supporting the development of educational initiatives with department managers and clinical nurse coordinators. The Clinical Staff Educator will utilize simulation training techniques and collaborate closely with the Quality Management team to promote continuous improvement throughout the healthcare system.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver education and training programs for clinical staff.
  • Evaluate educational programs and participant learning, implementing changes as necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect patient rights in all interactions.
  • Foster teamwork and cooperation among staff through effective communication.
  • Assist with Quality Department activities as requested.
  • Participate in ongoing education for DNV programs relevant to position.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required; Master of Science in Nursing degree preferred.
  • Current Oregon RN license required.
  • Certifications: Healthcare Provider (HCP) CPR, CNOR, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required.
  • Minimum 5 years of hospital nursing experience with at least 3 years of OR experience required.
  • Experience in teaching, developing courses, and utilizing simulation technology preferred.

Schedule

This position is for the Day Shift, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week.
