Respiratory Therapist - Critical Care

Night shift: 3x12 hours (18:30 - 07:00)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist with experience in Critical Care to provide exceptional care at our affiliated facilities. The ideal candidate must be capable of floating to other campuses and handling various respiratory conditions in adults, adolescents, and geriatric patients, with a focus on ventilator management and airway management practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor ventilators, including BiPAP, CPAP, and high frequency oscillators.
• Administer medications such as nebulized treatments, inhaled steroids, and bronchodilators.
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation and Basic EKG readings.
• Assist in airway management procedures, including intubation and extubation.
• Conduct pulmonary function tests and participate in patient care planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department, or Pediatric Intensive Care.
• Current WA State Respiratory Therapy License required.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS.
• NICU experience is required; PICU experience is not mandatory.
• Ability to independently intubate neonates is a must.
