Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Night shift, 3x12 hour schedule (19:00 - 07:30). Every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team for a night shift position. The RN will provide care primarily to adult and geriatric patients in a 29-bed unit specializing in orthopedic and medical-surgical care. This role includes telemetry monitoring and physical therapy support directly on the unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with various orthopedic and medical conditions.
• Manage patient care with a focus on achieving optimal outcomes through evidence-based practices.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and maintain a high level of patient safety.
• Monitor telemetry data and respond to changes in patient conditions.
• Supervise and lead nursing staff in charge RN shifts as needed.
• Maintain clear and accurate patient documentation within the Epic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with previous travel experience preferred.
• Charge RN experience is required.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
• Must pass the EKG exam as part of compliance requirements for all RNs.
• Experience with the Epic charting system is required.
