Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Days Shift

Job Summary

The LPN partners with our residents and other care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment by providing direct and indirect care. Units include specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer's/dementia, as well as short-term skilled nursing and rehab services.

Responsibilities

• Provide care tailored to meet the needs of residents with Alzheimer's/dementia using both verbal and non-verbal communication techniques.
• Deliver short-term skilled nursing and rehabilitation services to patients recovering from various conditions.
• Administer IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management as needed.
• Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Associate degree in Nursing or graduate of a Maine State Board approved LPN course.
• Valid State of Maine or compact Licensed Practical Nurse license.
• 1-3 years of previous RN/LPN experience preferred.
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Schedule

This position is for a day shift, working from 7 AM to 7 PM, with flexibility required to cover 24/7 shifts as needed.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
