Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide care in the Emergency Department, working with pediatric patients requiring intubation and mechanical ventilation, attending high-risk C-sections in the nursery, and supporting the resuscitation team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in various critical care environments, including ICU, ER, and Med Surge floors.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments under physician direction.
• Monitor and assess patients’ respiratory status and adjust ventilatory support accordingly.
• Participate in high-risk deliveries and care for neonate resuscitation.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Utilize Drager V500 and Hamilton T-1 ventilators effectively.
• Document patient care in the EPIC system accurately.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Respiratory Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Department.
• Certifications: NRP, BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Experience with pediatric intubation and mechanical ventilation preferred.
