Sterile Processing Technician

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: Nights - 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM

Call Requirements: 1 day a week Monday to Friday and 1 weekend a month.

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for performing all sterile processing duties, which include testing, steam sterilization, V-Pro sterilization, managing gastrointestinal scopes, and high-level disinfection. This position requires attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining sterile environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterilization and high-level disinfection processes.
• Test and maintain sterilization equipment.
• Handle and process surgical instruments and equipment.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
• Document and report any issues related to sterilization practices.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Preferred certification: CRCST or CSPDT, though years of experience may be considered acceptable.
• Must have 2+ years of experience in sterile processing.
