Outpatient Physical Therapist
Job Description
The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating assigned patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans tailored to the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. This role involves the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate an effective return to community activities. The therapist will educate patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves while performing other professional duties related to patient care, development of therapy services, and program delivery.
Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
- Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals focused on progressing patients towards discharge.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulations and organizational policies.
- Participate in student programs, providing a positive learning environment.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and adhere to state practice acts and continuing education requirements.
- Contribute to performance improvement initiatives within the organization.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
- Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
- Active CPR certification.
- Possession of a valid Physical Therapist license for the state where work will be performed.
- Previous experience with the agency is highly desired.
Schedule
This position follows a 5x8.0 schedule.
