Physical Therapist - Rehabilitation

Job Description

The Physical Therapist is responsible for effectively screening, evaluating, and rehabilitating patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care. They will develop appropriate plans of care while adhering to all regulatory and clinical practice standards.

Responsibilities

• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and wound care.
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly, documenting per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness and modify services as necessary based on patient evaluations.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers concerning physical disorders.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress and treatment plans.
• Document all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system.
• Participate in required meetings, training sessions, and in-services.
• Supervise and support physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students.
• Adhere to APTA and state-required practice acts and codes of conduct during professional practice.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of Physical Therapy experience required.
• New Graduates acceptable if they possess Level II experience (not just Level I observation experience).
• Experience in Long-Term Care or Rehabilitation preferred.
• Must hold an Oklahoma State License.

Schedule

This position involves an 8-hour day shift, with no on-call or weekend obligations.
