Schedule

Full Time 3x12s (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) Friday, Saturday, and Sunday weekly, with holiday rotation. Flexibility needed.

Job Description

The CT/Radiologic Technologist performs technical radiographic assignments and demonstrates complex skills, judgement, and knowledge in the principles and methods of CT and Radiologic Technology. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic radiographic studies, operating portable diagnostic radiographic equipment, and ensuring infection control according to universal precautions.

Responsibilities

• Operates radiographic, CT, image processors and related equipment across different modalities accurately.
• Evaluates images for quality and demonstrates accuracy of positioning based on procedure guidelines.
• Provides clear instructions during procedures to calm and relieve patient stress.
• Maintains competency in both radiographic and CT modalities.
• Ensures radiation protection is used for self, patients, and other personnel.
• Demonstrates flexibility in assuming emergency call on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• Demonstrates competency in RIS and PACS, entering and editing patient exams and charges.
• Responsible for conducting radiographic and CT studies, including those with and without IV contrast enhancement.
• Follows NYSDOH Part 16 guidelines and performs required QC activities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• ARRT Certification
• New York State Licensure
• Minimum of 1 year of CT Tech experience with solid Rad Tech/X-Ray experience or C-Arm experience
