Job Description

The CT Technologist, under the direction of the Radiology Manager and the Radiologist, performs computerized Tomography procedures, including invasive procedures. This role involves positioning and instructing patients, operating specialized equipment, and determining technical factors for exposure, while ensuring the correct marking and labeling of all images. The CT Technologist will consistently provide safe, quality patient care and must take call when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Position patients and operate the Toshiba Aquilon 64 slice scanner.
• Determine technical factors for optimal exposure and acquire images.
• Label and mark all films correctly.
• Provide quality customer service and patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an approved AMA school of Radiology.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy is necessary.
• Two years of diagnostic experience is desirable.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and move patients safely.
• Strong stamina, flexibility, and manual dexterity are required.
• Computer skills are essential for operating radiology equipment.
