Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Telemetry

This is a 16-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: NIGHTS - 12HR: 7P-7A. 36 and 48 hours available per week. 1 weekend shift per week or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will work within the West 6 Med/Tele unit, providing care to a 40-bed capacity. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients in the acute medical-surgical setting, utilizing strong assessment and clinical skills. The RN must be flexible to meet the scheduling needs of the facility and may be required to float to other units as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical telemetry unit.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report changes in condition.
• Assist with patient management, including assessment and care planning.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members for optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in educational activities for patients and families.
• Work in a charge nurse capacity when required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active New York RN License.
• AHA BLS Certification.
• 1 year of recent experience in acute medical-surgical/telemetry nursing.
• 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates.
