Friday - Sunday 7am - 7:30pm EST, on call/callback, holidays, and occasional weekends.

Job Description

As a CT Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging. Your responsibilities include confirming patient identity and exam verification, coordinating with physicians, and preparing patients for scans. You will ensure patient comfort, perform necessary procedures such as inserting IVs, and maintain accurate patient records.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to alleviate anxiety.
• Insert IVs when necessary for tests.
• Position patients safely and utilize safe patient handling techniques.
• Maintain accurate patient records within EPIC, including documentation of exams and images.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment in the scanning facility.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• New York State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist (must be obtained prior to starting).
• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Two (2) years of Level 1 Trauma Center experience.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Injection therapy certification (preferred, or willingness to complete during orientation).
• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment is preferred.
