Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our inpatient rehabilitation team. This role involves working closely with therapists to provide high-quality rehabilitation services to adults, focusing on a variety of diagnoses including neuro, orthopedic, and cardiac rehabilitation. The ideal candidate will possess strong time management skills and a proficiency in point of care documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing therapeutic activities as directed by the occupational therapist.
• Document patient progress and responses to treatment effectively.
• Support patients in achieving their goals related to daily living activities.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain safety and wellness standards in patient care settings.

Location

East Rehabilitation Hospital, East of the city.

Schedule

This position will require a commitment to a daytime schedule from 08:00 to 17:00, with a weekly guarantee of 40 hours. Weekend hours and on-call responsibilities may apply based on patient needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current COTA certification and state licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience in inpatient rehab settings preferred.
• Familiarity with GG scoring and point of care documentation is a plus.
