Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night and Day 3x12-Hour shifts available (19:00 - 07:30 or 07:00 - 19:30). Rotating shifts may be implemented as necessary to meet operational needs.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a hospital setting. The role includes the potential to float to various units, offering care to a similar patient population.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg Tele unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding to changes as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient care activities and maintain accurate records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have at least 18 months of permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele nursing.
• Must have 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience; travel experience will suffice.
• Current and valid Ohio RN license or compact state license in hand.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS must be active.
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation.
