Nurse Manager - Emergency Department

Job Description

The Nurse Manager is responsible for the operations of the Emergency Department, ensuring quality nursing care and effective management of staff and resources. The role includes coaching, budgeting, staffing, and collaborating with other departments to deliver a high standard of healthcare services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide coaching and education for staff to meet and exceed performance expectations.
  • Design and implement plans to develop and motivate employees.
  • Oversee daily operations of the Emergency Department.
  • Manage patient and customer satisfaction initiatives, responding to concerns in a timely manner.
  • Utilize data to anticipate customer service needs and improve patient care delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with professional standards and regulations.
  • Participate in task forces and committees to enhance healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.
  • Manage resources effectively while collaborating with the Medical Staff for quality care.
  • Oversee staff performance in key clinical practices and implement necessary remediation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Three to five years of progressive clinical and administrative experience required.
  • Current MA RN licensure.
  • Current certifications in ACLS and PALS (AHA); TNCC, ENPC, and CEN certifications preferred.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Schedule

This position requires a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, onsite.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
