Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Will work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with holidays as needed. Every other weekend is required.

Job Description

Seeking a skilled and dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our team. The ER RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department environment. This role requires a thorough understanding of emergency medical procedures and the ability to handle a variety of critical situations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to patients in the emergency department.
• Conduct assessments, administer medications, and carry out treatment plans.
• Manage patients with acute and critical conditions, including trauma and medical emergencies.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using Epic electronic health record system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members for optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required.
• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license in hand prior to the start date.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system is required.
• Community hospital experience is required.
