Job Description

The Cardiac Telemetry Unit is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care for patients dealing with cardiac-related issues. The unit focuses on a variety of patient diagnoses including post heart catheterization, congestive heart failure (CHF), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and arrhythmias. The RN will be responsible for monitoring patients' conditions and administering necessary treatments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and EKG strips.
• Administer medications and complete titration of Heparin as needed.
• Perform admissions and discharges of patients.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to manage patient care.
• Assist with daily living activities alongside Patient Care Technicians.
• Engage in teamwork to facilitate patient flow and care efficiency.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• Experience in telemetry or cardiac care preferred.
• Ability to read EKG strips and monitor cardiac conditions.
