Days (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM) with call; exact shift times/days of the week may vary based on patient volume.

Job Description

The Operating Room Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the care of the patient in the operating room. As a member of the surgical team, the RN will work with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, ORTs, and other personnel to provide patient care in the Operating Room according to the State Nurse Practice Act, AORN, and regulatory standards, physician orders, and hospital policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure supplies are ready and cases run on time
• Communicate effectively with families
• Update physician preference cards
• Scrub and assist physicians during surgical cases
• Supervise personnel delivering patient care

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• 2+ years of experience, with strengths in Ortho, Neuro, Robotics, ENT, General Surgery, and Urology
• Cerner experience required
• CNOR preferred
