Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

This position offers a night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, totaling 36 hours guaranteed.

Job Description

This role involves managing OB triage, outpatient testing, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and nursery care. No OR circulation or scrubbing duties are required. The position utilizes OBIX for fetal surveillance and EPIC for electronic health records. Experience with these systems is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process to provide care for patients, adhering to the RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
• Teach patients and their significant others about care practices and available resources.
• Document patient care accurately in the medical record.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate overall patient care effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery.
• Current fetal heart monitoring certification is required.
• BLS (AHA) certification is required.
• NRP certification is required.
• Experience with OBIX and EPIC is highly preferred.
• EFM and STABLE certifications are highly preferred.
