Travel Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Nights (19:00 - 07:00), with every other weekend required and call shifts two times per scheduled period.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery will be responsible for providing comprehensive obstetrical care during the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases. This role emphasizes the utilization of the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to Labor and Delivery patients using critical thinking skills and scientific judgment.
• Demonstrate leadership in planning and ensuring safe delivery of care.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of personnel.
• Offer direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience.
• Active Arkansas or multi-state RN license.
• Current certification in ACLS, BLS, and NRP.
• Postpartum experience is preferred.
