Travel Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: Days (07:00 - 19:00), every other weekend required. Call shifts will be scheduled twice during the contract period.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care during the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care to Labor and Delivery patients. This is achieved by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy and procedures. The RN demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for Labor and Delivery patients.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available nursing staff.
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of Labor and Delivery RN experience.
• Active Arkansas or multistate nursing license.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications.
• Postpartum experience is preferred.
