Night shift, from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, with potential variability to cover additional shifts as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our dynamic ED team. This position entails providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting while working collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
• Assist in triaging patients based on the severity of their conditions.
• Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare staff to develop patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the care process.
• Act as a charge nurse when required, providing leadership and guidance to the nursing staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in the State of Maine.
• BLS/ACLS certification is required; PALS certification is a plus.
• Previous experience in a charge nurse or preceptor role is a must.
