Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with a current Maine nursing license. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients across all age groups. The ideal candidate will demonstrate critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing age-appropriate nursing assessments.
• Develop and implement patient-centered plans of care based on assessed needs and physician orders.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding patient status and care plans.
• Document patient care activities according to established standards and protocols.
• Administer medications accurately and evaluate patient responses.
• Provide education to patients and families related to discharge plans.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and bedside rounding.
• Actively engage in quality improvement initiatives and emergency management planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in Maine or compact state.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Immunizations: Varicella (2 doses or titer), HepB (3 doses or titer), MMR (2 doses or titer), Tdap, PPD 2 step or titer within the past 12 months.
• Flu shot required during flu season.
