Registered Nurse - Inpatient Rehab

Schedule

This position requires a night shift, working 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Weekend and holiday coverage is required.

Location

Travelers may be subject to float between multiple campuses in the designated health system.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide specialized care for inpatient rehabilitation patients with various neurological diagnoses, including CVA, TBI, ABI, and more. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation of treatments, and evaluation of care outcomes, ensuring a high level of patient satisfaction and safety.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs and assess patients' health status.
• Administer medications and perform medication reconciliation.
• Conduct patient assessments and interpret laboratory results.
• Perform dressing changes and set up procedure trays.
• Engage in telephone triage and support patient refill requests.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must hold a valid RN license with at least 1 year of acute care experience.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory.
• Pass Fail EKG exam required prior to compliance completion.
