Job Description

The Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in the operating room. This role requires advanced clinical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the operating room, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, including equipment and instruments.
• Assist surgeons during operations by providing necessary tools and support.
• Monitor patients' vitals and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Maintain sterile techniques and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record (Epic).
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an OR RN.
• Active South Carolina RN license or multi-state/compact RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications preferred.
• Previous charge experience is a plus.
• Radiation badge is required and must be provided by the agency.
