Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

Schedule

The RN will work 4x10-hour shifts from Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. There may be up to 4 call shifts required per month, and up to 1 weekend shift (6:30 AM to 7:00 PM) may be expected. The RN will also be required to work at least one holiday during the contract period.

Job Description

The Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) will be responsible for both scrubbing and circulating during surgical procedures in a busy, dynamic environment. The RN will work within a Level I trauma center and collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and assist in surgical procedures.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
• Coordinate patient care and collaborate with surgical teams.
• Monitor patient vitals and assist in patient recovery.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EPIC).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in South Carolina or multi-state/compact RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• At least 2 years of experience in an Operating Room setting strongly preferred.
• Experience with scrubbing is highly desirable.
• Certification to operate a radiation badge will be provided by the agency.
