6:30 PM - 7:00 AM (1830 - 0700), with a 36 hour guarantee.

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is responsible for the delivery of respiratory therapy and patient care in accordance with physician's orders, hospital policies and procedures, and departmental standards of care and practice.

Responsibilities

• Performs therapeutic and diagnostic pulmonary and cardiovascular procedures.
• Evaluates patient/resident response to respiratory therapy and implements appropriate corrective measures.
• Provides education to patients and staff regarding respiratory procedures, equipment operation, and safety precautions.
• Conducts routine maintenance and service checks on respiratory equipment.
• Maintains accurate records, reports, and documentation related to the work performed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of RRT experience - REQUIRED
• Experience with ventilators, Bipap, ICU, ER, and ABG - REQUIRED
• ACLS certification - PREFERRED
• BLS certification - REQUIRED
• NBRC certification - REQUIRED
• State licensure: Michigan - REQUIRED
