Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Located in a comprehensive emergency department setting.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 19:00 - 07:00, with a weekly guarantee of 36 hours; must work 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period.

Job Description

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and high-acuity environment. The RN will assess patient needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and monitor patient progress while collaborating with other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients in the emergency department.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient outcomes.
• Respond to emergency situations effectively with established protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have an active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in emergency nursing preferred.
• Experience with peripheral IV, stroke management, SEPSIS, and STEMI is preferred.
