IR Tech - Interventional Radiology

This is a 26-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 5x8 hour schedule (08:00 AM - 04:30 PM). Call is required once a week on every 4th Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Job Description

As an IR Tech in our interventional radiology department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging and support for various procedures, primarily focusing on angiograms and stenting. The facility operates as a level II cath lab with interventional cardiology services, excluding open-heart surgery.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interventional radiology procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Operate angiography and other imaging equipment effectively.
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to safety protocols during procedures.
• Monitor patient conditions and assist with sedation as required.
• Document and communicate findings to the healthcare team in an accurate and timely manner.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year experience as an IR Tech or in a similar imaging role.
• Current ACLS certification.
• IABP and Impella competency required.
• Valid State License is required by time of submission.
