Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. No weekend or on-call responsibilities.

Job Description

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals and other medications to patients, performing diagnostic studies as per physician orders. This role involves receiving and recording radiopharmaceuticals, conducting daily/weekly quality control dose testing, and administering medications for patient imaging and therapeutic procedures. The technologist processes data and enhances digital images using advanced computer technology, providing images and analysis for diagnostic interpretation or therapeutic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and medications for imaging and therapeutic procedures.
• Conduct daily/weekly QC dose testing and evaluate images for technical quality.
• Utilize advanced technologies for data processing and image enhancement.
• Document and organize patient information utilizing the Electronic Health Record.
• Perform Nuclear Medicine and Treadmill stress tests under the direction of a Cardiologist.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area and patient rooms post-procedure.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 3 years of recent Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience in a hospital setting.
• ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine or CNMT Registered.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Familiarity with GEHC NM Infinia & NEMIS / Xeleris 5.0 equipment.
• Experience performing Stress Echo and treadmill tests.
