RN Emergency Room - Night Shift

Schedule

Night Shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday Nights from 1900 to 0730. Holiday Pay available for New Year, Thanksgiving, and Christmas only.

Job Description

The RN Emergency Room Nurse provides patient care in an emergency setting, demonstrating initiative, flexibility, and responsibility with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include safely, rapidly, and accurately triaging patients and communicating effectively with physicians regarding patient status. The RN must be willing to cross-train in other nursing departments as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a fast-paced emergency environment.
• Accurately triage patients based on their medical needs.
• Communicate patient status and concerns to physicians.
• Participate in cross-training opportunities in other nursing departments.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current California RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• 2+ years of recent ER experience preferred.
• Operating knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (T-System and CPSI).
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written).
• Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism in interactions with patients, staff, and the public.
• Basic computer skills required.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
