12-hour rotating shifts: 1p-1a, 3p-3a, 5p-5a, 7p-7a. Must be available for all shifts.

Job Description

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide critical care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment. The average daily census is 190-200 patients, and nurses will manage a high turnover of discharged patients while ensuring high standards of care. Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work effectively in a team are essential.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients in an emergency setting with a focus on assessment and critical care.
• Provide emergency interventions and support, including managing vents and delivering treatments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient care.
• Engage with patients and families to educate and inform about care plans.
• Utilize the Epic documentation system for patient records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in an emergency department setting.
• ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Previous travel experience is preferred; strong ER experience is mandatory.
• Experience with Epic documentation is required.
