Emergency Room Nurse - 13 Week Contract Position

Schedule

The shift for this position is from 1:00 PM to 1:30 AM, totaling 36 hours scheduled with 24 hours guaranteed. Please note that Banner has the right to cancel one shift as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role requires expertise in trauma care and the ability to work effectively under pressure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency care and possess necessary certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the emergency department.
• Assess patient conditions and respond appropriately to medical emergencies.
• Administer medications and perform medical procedures as necessary.
• Collaborate with physicians and medical staff to develop patient care plans.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with health regulations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 24 months of Emergency Room experience, with recent experience in the last 12 months.
• Current TNCC and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Active AHA certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS are required.
• Valid state license to practice nursing, with no hits on the record.
• Driver's license to verify residency is required.
