This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts are scheduled from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM with 36 hours scheduled and 24 hours guaranteed.

Job Description

The Labor and Delivery Nurse will provide care and support to expectant mothers during labor and delivery. This role requires a strong background in labor and delivery procedures, ability to work under pressure, and commitment to the highest standards of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients during labor and delivery.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to create and implement care plans.
• Perform necessary medical procedures and interventions.
• Document patient care and progress accurately.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 24 months of Labor and Delivery experience within the last 12 months.
• Life support certifications from AHA, ARC, or ASHI (ACLS, BLS, AFM, NRP).
• Active license to practice in Arizona with no hits on the state license.
• Driver's license to verify residency.
• Travel experience is highly preferred.
