Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a clinical practitioner who coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served on the assigned units. This role ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the unit’s standards of care. The RN demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the unit and organization, while treating staff, physicians, patients, and families with consideration and respect.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement patient care specific to assigned unit’s patient population.
• Ensure quality care is delivered efficiently and safely.
• Demonstrate effective clinical practice and work habits.
• Communicate clearly and concisely with patients and staff.
• Adhere to patient rights and sensitivity in care delivery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license.
• BLS Certification from AHA required.
• ACLS Certification from AHA required.
• PALS Certification from AHA required (or ENPC).
• TNCC or ATCN certification required.
• CPI or equivalent preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing.
