Nights, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM; floating and call required.

Job Description

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse is accountable for delivering exceptional care to patients in the Emergency Department. The nurse will utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures, demonstrating critical thinking and leadership skills while ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively.
• Administer medications and monitor side effects proficiently.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education.
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of experience in an Emergency Room setting required.
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications required.
• NRP certification preferred.
• Registered Nurse license in the state of New Mexico.
• Fingerprinting is required for all travelers in New Mexico.
