Job Description

The Radiology Technologist is responsible for producing optimal diagnostic images while ensuring excellent patient care under the supervision of the Imaging Manager. This role requires the incumbent to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for diverse populations including neonatal, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment competently to produce high-quality radiographic images.
• Verify and execute physician orders for diagnostic and therapeutic exams.
• Ensure patient safety and well-being during procedures.
• Consult with Radiologists regarding contrast media and adjustments for image quality.
• Document patient history and symptoms accurately.
• Participate in quality improvement studies and maintain accurate medical charting.
• May assist with other modalities within the Imaging Department.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of experience in Radiology required.
• Experience with fluoroscopy is essential.
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required.
• State of Nevada license for Medical Radiography required.
• Current AHA BLS certification required.
