Job Description

The Registered Nurse is a clinical practitioner responsible for coordinating and implementing patient care tailored to the age-specific needs of the patient population served on assigned units. The RN ensures quality care is provided efficiently and safely, consistent with unit standards. A commitment to the mission, philosophy, and goals of the unit and organization is essential, alongside demonstrating quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement patient care specific to age and population standards.
• Ensure quality and safe care delivery in accordance with organizational standards.
• Communicate effectively with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
• Demonstrate clinical performance aligned with unit goals.
• Handle emergency and crisis situations with professionalism.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing.
• Current New Mexico RN license or a compact state license.
• BLS Certification required; ACLS optional.
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience.
• Knowledge and skills appropriate to age/type of patient population served.
