Schedule

4x10-Hour Day Shift (06:30 AM - 05:00 PM) with holiday rotation, including 1 weekend shift. On-call is required, with up to 4 weeknight call shifts every 4 weeks.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our dynamic team within a level-one, academic trauma center. The Main Operating Room features 21 OR suites accommodating various surgical specialties, including Trauma, Transplant, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics. This is a busy, nurse-driven, Magnet-designated department, leveraging cutting-edge technology for patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
• Maintain a sterile environment and participate in scrubbing and circulating surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and provide comprehensive nursing support during operations.
• Adapt to fluctuating unit requirements, including floating between like units as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent OR nursing experience, with scrub experience strongly preferred.
• Current South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Radiation badge required (provided by agency).
