Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

Job Description

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides direct care for acutely or critically ill patients at high risk for life-threatening health problems. The ICU nurse plays a crucial role in delivering advanced care through intensive monitoring, assessments, and interventions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and symptoms closely.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Perform advanced assessments and collaborate with healthcare teams.
• Educate patients and their families regarding care plans and health status.

Schedule

This position requires a night shift from 1900 to 0730, with rotating weekends.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• AHA ACLS and TNCC required for GSR ICU-CCU positions.
• PALS certification preferred.
• Previous ICU experience preferred.
• Verification of high school diploma or equivalent required due to CAP regulations.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
