NICU I - Neonatal Transport Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts are 12 hours, rotating between day and night with a requirement of every other weekend. The position consists of 36 hours per week.

Job Description

The Neonatal Transport Nurse will be responsible for providing critical care to neonates during transport. The ideal candidate should possess advanced practice skills, including endotracheal intubation, chest tube placement, and umbilical line placement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care during the transport of neonatal patients.
• Perform advanced medical procedures as required.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare teams and families.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions throughout transport.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Flight and transport experience specifically with neonatal care.
• Current nursing licensure in the applicable state.
• Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred.
