Registered Nurse - Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Night Shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 nights per week.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This unit specializes in the care of cardiac patients, including those with STEMI, NSTEMI, and chest pain. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-level nursing care and managing cardiac drips, including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and pressors. The nurse-to-patient ratio will range from 1:3 to 1:4, depending on the workload and acuity of patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the PCU/IMCU.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses, particularly with cardiac drips.
• Manage telemetry beds during lower acuity levels as needed.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of documented experience in a similar-sized facility with PCU experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Experience with cardiac populations and related medical conditions.
