Job Description

This position is located within the Operating Room of a healthcare facility in Juneau, AK. We handle various types of elective and emergency cases, including abdominal, thoracic, urology, ENT, plastic, orthopedics, vascular, and OB/GYN. The Operating Room Registered Nurse will multi-task efficiently and ensure that surgical cases proceed throughout the day in a timely manner, while also utilizing after-hour call services to staff the OR during nights, holidays, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical procedures.
• Assist in the coordination of surgical schedules and patient flow.
• Ensure adherence to safety and sterilization protocols.
• Provide direct patient care in the operating room environment.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing (BSN, Associate degree, or Diploma in nursing)
• Valid, current, full, and unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska
• 3 years of Operating Room experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Experience in Critical Access Hospital and/or Rural Operating Rooms preferred
