Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including every other weekend and holiday.

Job Description

The Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct nursing care to both general medical and surgical patients, including those undergoing short-stay procedures, orthopedic care, and stroke management. Responsibilities include caring for remote telemetry monitored patients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct EKGs and vital sign assessments.
• Perform IV insertion and medication administration.
• Insert Foley catheters as needed.
• Document patient assessments accurately.
• Assist with Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI).
• Conduct point-of-care testing, such as blood glucose measurements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1-2+ years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Valid RN license in the state of practice.
