Diagnostic Imaging Technologist - CT

Job Description

The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist CT will ensure that the evaluation of Radiology procedures, equipment, and staff are administered accurately, timely, responsively, and reliably. The role involves working closely with employees, medical staff, patients, and regulatory agencies, with a primary focus on activities that directly affect customer service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of patients and hospital information.
• Comply with all hospital policies and procedures pertaining to incident reporting.
• Perform CT procedures as requested by referring physicians.
• Demonstrate adequate radiation safety practices concerning both patients and co-workers.
• Participate in all Radiology Management System functions related to patient procedures.
• Provide patient education as required.
• Maintain effective communications with referring physicians and radiologist staff.
• Abide by service delivery standards of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Radiology.
• Adhere to appropriate clinical principles, methods, and procedures while performing CT procedures.

Schedule

This position includes evening shifts from 12 PM to 12:30 AM or 2 PM to 2:30 AM.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Associate's degree in radiologic technology.
• NYS Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License with Injection Registered.
• ARRT (R) Certification.
• BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
• ARRT CT Registration preferred.
